Diplomacy.

The serfs are a part of the CoRE roleplaying community, and follow their Rules of conduct and Rules of Engagement when interacting with other guilds. We will happily accept war status with non CoRe roleplay guilds, and will roleplay with anyone, warred or no.

To see a list of guilds we are currently warred with, please check our UO.com guild page here. Any guildwar requests should be made on the forum, or to Sally via ICQ (151895404).

As far as In Character Alliegences and Enemies go, those are made on a personal basis, not a guild one. But, as a general rule, you can trust the guards of the town you live in (Dot and LB in Trinsic, -V- or KH in vesper) and will go to them for help if in trouble.

Rules

There are only a few rules to being a serf, but repeated breaking of them will result in you being dragged into a back-alley and turned over to the Overlords as a sacrifice :).

1. Always remain In Character. Any ooc chat is to be done in party, via ICQ, or in a very few cases, out of sight when planning guild events.

2. Do not use Magic, Necromancy or Chivalry. You may use a runebook with charges to recall, but this must be done out of sight of other players.

3. Never supply your serf with money or items collected by another character. Serfs should be self-sufficient

4. Following from the above, have some way of collecting something to sell. Be it a gathering skill like lumber or fishing, a crafting skill like tailoring or cooking, or simply taking the time to hunt things for their hides or collect reagents to sell. The results of these should be sold in town and at markets, In Character.

5. Do not powergame their skills while a being serf. Let them develop natually through everyday play.

6. Roleplay with anyone, regardless of war status, guilding or otherwise. Interacting with non-roleplayers In Character is positively encouraged, as people seem to respond to it. The only time you should Ignore someone completely is if their intent is to grief you, or disrupt ongoing Rp deliberately. (Of course, you could simply not like them, that's allowable too)

7. Read the forum, check it regularly, any goings-on with the guild will go here. Posting IC stories is encouraged too, if you enjoy writing.

There are also some hints and ideas about roleplay as a serf in the about us section, these are guidelines and suggestions rather than rules. If you think anything ought to be added to them, message the webmaven (334303206), or post something on the forum.
