Joining the Serfs
Once you've decided to be a serf, either with a new character or with an existing one, there are a few simple things you'll need to do before you're recruited. Please remember that we don't recruit immediately, and that we are not an organisation in-character, so avoid asking any of the serfs ingame if you can be added to the guild.
The first thing to do, once you know who you want to join with, is to go to the recruitment thread and post a little about your character. We all check this regularly so we know who to watch for.
Then, simply come to Trinsic and interact with us. After we've seen you ingame for awhile and got to know you, you'll be added to the stone and given access to the private forum. There, that's all there is to it.
Hints for creating a new character.
Please try to make your new serf different from the existing serfs, in name, personality and clothing. Variety is the spice of RP life as much as it is elsewhere. Dress simply, no brightly coloured finery or neons for poor folk. You should pick a resource-gathering or crafting skill for your starting set, too. Your serf will need some way to make money, although gathering reagents and hides for sale to mages and tailors is often a good choice, too.
Think a little about your character's appearance and put it in your profile. What do people see when they look at you? A burly lumber-man with a beard? A young woman with warm green eyes? A cheeky child? Anything you might want other roleplayers to see without you having to tell them. Avoid putting your background story in though.
For an existing character, try not to have high combat skills, 7xGM warriors wouldn't really be suited. And as we do not use magic, a mage, necromancer or paladin wouldn't be appropriate either. Due to the time it takes to Raise them, we will allow GM crafters, but your character needs to be more than a mule. Oh, and 'D3wd' names and Bright neon coloured hair would have to be changed before joining.
All the above considered, Welcome! We look forward to meeting you.
