Dirty Mouth with Feet

Piano and Synth

Last week in Hammersmith the earth moved, the stars shook, and a critical mass of deeply fannish glee nearly took out half of London. Blanketgirl, Ezekiel, Doodle and I saw Tori Amos play twice in two days, met and bonded with many fantastic Fen (including a bit of 'omg, we must friend each other on facebook' which rather amused me .. I don't think I've ever actually /networked/ with social networking before) and even had a personal encounter at a meet and greet!

Blanketgirl has written things up more neatly than I can manage right now, so go read over here if you're interested. Suffice it to say, some long-held dreams were realised, some fantastic, epic piano rock-outs were heard, and despite resolving to approach things calmly, I spent the next couple of days going 'omgtoriamostouchedmeomg!!!!!' to myself in a very gleeful manner indeed.

Then earlier this week after some work things I had myself particularly het up about, I was lucky enough to have dinner in Soho with the wonderful Helen Bop, Nix Williams and Dan who turned out to be the most fantastic people from the internet since people from the internet were invented ever. It was an absolutely wonderful evening that left me on a huge high and I'm hoping for the chance to repeat it again soon.

I've been loving having Blanketgirl over here, she's like the funky big sister I never had and it's been so much fun hanging out here with her. We're going to have to go back over to her neck of the woods or have her back over here sooner rather than later. I'm not looking forward to saying goodbye next week, but everything has to have a beginning and an ending.

Goodnight out there, internets, whatever you are.
