Damn, Damn and double Damn.
I'd meant to write something - a fair few somethings - earlier this week, but have been bitten in the butt by an irritating old medical problem that has me a few syllables short of a sentance most of the time. Since visiting the doctors on friday for a collection of napalm-like antibacterial drugs and a referral things have been slowly improving - but I'm still fairly useless.
I am very much hoping to be together enough tomorrow to go down to Cambridge Flying Group and help out but I really can't be sure if that'll happen at this point. Irksome as that is, there is always next week I suppose.
A few political notes, I watched Barak Obama's acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention and was blown away - this man deserves to be President of the United States and I will certainly be rooting for him (and Amy will be casting our stateside vote for him - can you really see a couple of pro choice pro peace queers voting for McCain?
). There's some commentary on this at GlobalComment some more at The Partial Muse and some absolutely delicious biting satire at Problem Chylde that is well worth a read.
DaisyDeadHead wrote another fantastic post, this time on feminism in country music, Bird of Paradox introduced me to Jim White, I was introduced to the blog with the best title ever which has some good political-fu, Kiss My Big Blue Butt and in local news, Tesco had to back the fuck down over the so-called eco town Handley Grange.
Right, time to get some sleep so I can see if I know which way is up tomorrow morning!
